Chat with your money.

Wenta is a money journal you talk to. Tell it what you spent in plain words, then ask it anything: where it went, what changed, how this month compares.

For iPhone and Android. No budget to set up, no bank to connect.

  1. You:

flat white 38, ride home 94, weekly shop 612.40

  2. Wenta:

Written down. 744.40 wenta yesterday, mostly on groceries.

  3. You:

How does this week compare with last week?

  4. Wenta:

You’ve spent 212 less than by this time last week. Going out dropped the most.

An example conversation. Wenta answers from what you’ve written down.

A minute a day, in your own words.

Wenta works like a conversation that keeps going. You tell it what you spent. You ask it what you want to know. Once a month, it tells you the story.

1 You tell it.

Once a day, Wenta asks one question: where did your money wenta yesterday? Answer the way you’d text a friend. “flat white 38, ride home 94, weekly shop 612.40” becomes three entries, each read back to you as a sentence before it’s saved.

  • It picks the category from your words, local ones too: tuk tuk, metro and matatu all land in Transport.
  • Correct a guess once and it remembers, so your words keep meaning what you mean.
  • Write amounts the way you say them, like 1,200 or 20k.

2 You ask it.

Ask your money what you want to know, the way you’d ask a friend who kept every receipt. Wenta works out what you mean, counts the answer from your own entries and tells you in a sentence, with the numbers underneath.

You asked “Where did my money wenta last month?” Wenta answers: You spent 3,183.40 in October. Groceries took the most at 28%, then transport at 24%.

Sample answers from a sample journal. In the app, every answer comes from yours.

3 It sums up the month.

Every month gets a recap: where it wenta, what stood out and how it compares with the month before, in a few plain sentences. No judgement, just the plot.

Where it wenta in October

Groceries 28%, Going out 16%, Transport 24%, Coffee 9%, Home 23%

Groceries took 28% of October. Transport wenta down 340 once you started taking the train.

A budget is a plan.Wenta is a conversation.

Budgets ask you to decide every amount before you spend it. Envelopes ask you to split your money up front. Spreadsheets ask you to keep the columns tidy. Plenty of people do well with all three.

Wenta asks for less: say what you spent, in your own words, and ask about it whenever you like. The more you tell it, the more it can tell you.

The one question Wenta asks, once a day, at a time you pick: “Where did your money wenta yesterday?”
  • Nothing to plan

No categories to set up and no limits to keep. Your first sentence is your setup.

  • Nothing to connect

Wenta never asks for your bank login. It knows what you tell it, and nothing else.

  • Nothing made up

Answers are counted from your own entries. The AI puts them into words; it never invents the numbers.

  • Your currency, your words

Write in the currency you use, with the words you use. Wenta learns them as you go.
